Lonnie Shan

Lonnie is from a fifth- generation farming family in eastern Illinois. His love and knowledge of livestock, wildlife, and rural living become the subject of his painting. His degree in graphic art took him to Dallas, TX where he worked for several agencies.

Traveling the world, Lonnie painted his many experiences. His adventures brought him to Taos a few years ago. He continues to exhibit and produce exquisite watercolors.

Lonnie is a signature member of the New Mexico Watercolor Society and Southwest Watercolor Society, Texas Watercolor Society, and served as president of the watercolor group in Austin, Texas. He has also helped organize workshops for TWS.
