Artist Statement

“Art has always been an important part of my life. I learned to love drawing as a child and took classes in drawing, pastels, and oils; then watercolors became my passion. For years I have studied watercolor in many classes and workshops in Seattle and Tucson, and with nationally known artists Raleigh Kinney and Thomas Owen. A juried member of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild, I displayed paintings at The Tubac Center of the Arts and various shows and Open Studio Tours in Arizona. I have shown at the Fremont Center for the Arts in Canon City, CO, and ‘Seeing Taos through Watercolor’ in Taos.”

Carol is a signature member of Taos Watercolor Society and has appeared in the following juried shows:

  • Arizona Aqueous Exhibition
  • Seeing Taos Through Watercolor, 2015
  • Best of the Southwest, 2016, Stables Gallery
  • Watercolor Seasons, 2016, Blumenshein
  • Best of the Southwest, 2017, Stables Gallery
